I decided to compile a list of wonderfully dated 2000s cartoon theme songs. rated in no particular order.
starting with: kim possible
as much as I loved this show growing up, the line “call me beep me if you wanna reach me” is just about as dated as you can get in this century. overall, a total bop. 8/10 I’d rate it higher but I’m still salty about the ending of the serries.
next up: proud family
this song is absolutely listenable on it’s own. in terms of dated-ness it’s pretty high up there. reminds me of basically every R&B song back then, and I’m not complaining tbh. it’s super catchy, 9/10 for being kinda corny.
our next contender: teen titans
this is one of those songs that always hyped me up, it has that new internet age quality about it that I find very endearing. 8/10 for the line “teen titans go!” leading to the serries of the same name.
next up: all grown up
I used to really like this show, despite the fact that it’s obviously just a shallow cash grab with pretty bland episode plots. (don’t hate me) 5/10 for being stuck in my head for over a decade every time I hear the phrase “all grown up” and also for having the most cliche and corny “I’m a teenager” lyrics known to man, aside from

holds up pretty well, but the general vibe is kinda too generic pop-punk for me. great show though. 7/10
and now another one from the same band that made the teen titans theme: hi hi puffy amiyumi
what can I say, this shit rocks. it sounds like japanese greenday. another themesong that hyped me up so much as a kid. 100/10
next up: danny phantom
that baseline is killer. another hype you up themesong. despite how catchy the lyrics are, it’s way too 90s for the 2000s and gives off “hello fellow kids” vibes. also fuck bitch fatman. anyways, danny is trans. 9/10 super fun to sing along to.
I don’t remember this show very well but: class of 3000
yet another hype you up theme, the 00’s had a lot of those. anything from Andre 3000 is gold, but what’s with that london bridge section? this one’s a special kinda dated that I wouldn’t mind coming back. 9/10
you might say “that’s not that old” to this one, because its aesthetic is pretty modern, but: phineas and ferb
I love how it’s just as funny as the show. ska punk meets disney. it is definitely starting to sound pretty old these days. 10/10
